New Voices in Portuguese Translation Studies
New Voices in Portuguese Translation Studies é o título de uma série de conferências organizadas pela equipa Translationality do CETAPS (Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies), na NOVA FCSH. A quinta edição irá decorrer entre 17 e 18 de fevereiro, na NOVA FCSH.
O objetivo é criar um fórum onde os estudantes de Tradução e Estudos de Tradução possam treinar as competências de apresentação oral num ambiente seguro e acolhedor. As conferências fazem parte de uma iniciativa mais abrangente que pretende desenvolver os Estudos de Tradução em Portugal, oferecendo apoio a investigadores jovens que queiram iniciar uma carreira na área.
As conferências destinam-se, em primeiro lugar, a estudantes de mestrado e doutoramento, embora os estudantes de licenciatura e investigadores doutorados também sejam bem-vindos. A inscrição é gratuita.

New Voices in Portuguese Translation Studiesis the title given to a series of graduate conferences organised by the Translationality strand of the Centre for English, Translation and Anglo-Portuguese Studies (CETAPS) based at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Nova University, Lisbon.
The aim is to provide a forum where students of Translation and Translation Studies can develop their presentation skills in a safe environment. It is part of a broader initiative to develop Translation Studies in Portugal by offering a support framework for young researchers who might wish to go on to pursue a career in the field.
The conferences are aimed primarily at Masters or Doctorate students, though people specializing in Translation at Bachelor’s (licenciatura) and Postdoctorate levels are also welcome. It is open to people from all Portuguese universities and beyond. Admission is free.
