EUROVISIONS Series – Back from Eurovision
A Eurovisão do nosso contentamento, ou como também é chamado o show que amamos odiar ou odiamos amar é um evento transmediatizado complexo que reúne um número cada vez maior de públicos em todo o mundo. Cantores, compositores, bailarinos, músicos, designers de moda, maquilhadores, jornalistas e outros profissionais contribuem anualmente também para a sua produção em cada ano. Como a música popular, no geral, o Festival Eurovisão da Canção foi por muitos anos ignorado na academia. Tal não sucede atualmente.
A EUROVISIONS Series – Back From Eurovision, na sua primeira edição, com curadoria do EUROVISIONS Research Group em conjunto com a NOVA FCSH, continua a discussão sobre Festival da Eurovisão em várias perspetivas, juntando diferentes entusiastas – radiodifusores, fãs, académicos ou outros – que ajudam a manter vivo este mega-evento ao longo das últimas sete décadas.

The Eurovision of our contentment, or as it is also called the show we love to hate or hate to love is a complex transmediated event which gathers an increasingly larger number of audiences around the world every year. Singers, composers, dancers, musicians, fashion designers, make-up artists, journalists and other professionals also contribute to its production each year. Like popular music as a whole, the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) was for many years ignored by academic research. It is no longer the case.
The EUROVISIONS Series – Back from Eurovision, in its first edition, curated by the EUROVISIONS Research Group together with NOVA FCSH, is an academic meeting that aims to continue, at school, the discussion about the ESC in its various perspectives, bringing together different enthusiasts – broadcasters, fans, academics or others – that help to keep this mega event alive throughout the last seven decades.
