Microsoft 365 account

Students and permanent staff at NOVA FCSH have an institutional Microsoft 365 account, with credentials (username and password) similar to those used for their FCSH ID, Inforestudante, and institutional email accounts.

For these types of users, the Microsoft account allows the download and use of Office 365 on local devices, as well as access to OneDrive storage as specified in the “Terms of Use for the FCSH ID Account and Institutional Applications”, available on the Intranet: https://intranet.fcsh.unl.pt/servicos-de-informatica/a-autenticacao-fcsh-id

For other users (such as visiting lecturers, unaffiliated researchers, generic accounts, etc.), the associated Microsoft account only allows the use of Office Online and does not permit installation on local devices.

Account creation

Since August 2025, the Microsoft 365 account has been created automatically at the same time as the FCSH ID account.

For members who joined NOVA FCSH before August 2025, the creation of the Microsoft 365 account was done manually. If they do not yet have a Microsoft 365 account, they can obtain one simply by changing the password of their FCSH ID account. The Microsoft account will then be created automatically, using the same credentials as the FCSH ID account.

Password and support

The password of the institutional Microsoft account is linked to the FCSH ID account. When the FCSH ID password is changed — which can be done through Inforestudante, Infordocente, or the website https://id.fcsh.unl.pt — the Microsoft account password is automatically updated as well.
