Gleydi Sullón Barreto holds a PhD in the History by the Complutense University of Madrid. She has participated in various conferences and academic gatherings, both national and international. She is the author of two books Extranjeros integrados. Portugueses en la Lima virreinal, 1570-1680 (Madrid: CSIC, 2016) and Viajantes al Nuevo Mundo. Extranjeros en Lima, 1590-1640 (New York, IDEA, 2019), as well as several articles published in indexed journals. She has specialized in the study of the Portuguese in Peru in the seventeenth century, based on the analysis of notarial documents. She has also worked on other foreign communities in Peru, and on the social dynamics of the viceregal capital, Lima. She is currently a integrated researcher at the CHAM, FCSH, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, she is a member of the Research Seminar on Modern History of America (Madrid) and qualified as a Renacyt researcher, level VI, by Concytec- Peru.
