Norms for Submission



Works submitted must be original, free of plagiarism, independent and always grounded in scientific fact. It is the responsibility of the author to ensure that the work has not been previously published nor that it is currently under consideration for possible publication in another physical or electronic space. However, authors may submit works that have been presented at scientific events but have not been published.

All articles published are the responsibility of their authors.

Works may be submitted by academics, teachers, researchers, professionals and students of the designated areas – History of Art, Travel, and similar. Undergraduate and Masters students who submit work for consideration should have a teacher/professor as co-author. Articles can be on empirical research, literature reviews in specific areas or theoretical reflections.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject works that it considers of insufficient quality, or not sufficiently relevant to the thematic areas announced, or that do not satisfy the norms presented below.

Submission of works for publication in ArTravel confirms the author’s acceptance of the transfer of dissemination rights, including national and international scientific databases and repositories. This is in line with its mission to share knowledge and competences acquired from scientific research applied to Art and Travel, gradually bringing the community of researchers closer together. By submitting a paper, the author further authorises the Editorial Board to make any necessary alterations to the formatting.

Authors shall be responsible for all image reproduction rights. Accepted papers can be in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish texts will be published as an e-book and/or as a paper edition and deposited in the University’s repository.
