PhD in Sociology (FCSH/UNL, 2015), specialization in Sociology of Emotions, focusing on the social regularities of the perception of emotions and feelings. Master and under graduate both in Sociology at FCSH.

My research experience started in 1999, on a project carried out in partnership between Atlântica University Research Centre and SociNova, a sociology research cabinet of FCSH/UNL (now is CICS.NOVA – Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences). Since then, I have participated in more than 10 research projects, mostly financed by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT). I am also an integrated member of CICS.NOVA.

The first research projects in which I participated were in the area of Economic Sociology, Sociology of Organizations. As an example I highlight As elites políticas e económicas (The politic and economical elites) and Liderança e Inovação nas Organizações Económicas (Leadership and Innovation in Economic Organizations), both FCT financed. On this last research, we conducted an on-line survey as an supplementary module in CIS – Community Innovation Survey and explore the importance of leaders’ decision making for innovation processes.

Currently, I’m an Invited Assistant Professor at FCSH/UNL for Statistics (under graduation in Political Science) and Data analysis using SPSS (under graduation in Sociology).
